For those of you unfamiliar with ZDoom, this is a port of the original ATB Doom and NTDoom code. An open source project maintained by Randy Heit and Christoph Oelckers in this case. After stopping its development, Christoph decided to create the new GZDoom project". GZDoom 4.0.0: new release with experimental support for Vulkan

What is Wolfenstein - Blade of Agony?
According to official website of «Wolfenstein - Blade of Agony», it is described as:
"An FPS Game with history. Inspired by the WWII shooters of the 1990s and early 2000s such as Wolfenstein 3D, Medal of Honor, and Call of Duty, but with faster gameplay in the spirit of Doom. The game can be played independently using the GZDoom engine as a base." Section About the Game (About)
What is the game about? The history
The Game developers explain the development of the game's story with the following description:
"It's 1942, and the war is nearing its peak. The United States has joined the Allied forces and the Soviets are pushing back the front in the east. The tides of war are turning, and Hitler's victory seems increasingly out of reach. But the Nazis, who refuse to capitulate, have become obsessed with human experiments and hidden artifacts, in which they see a possible way out of their final doom. Allied leaders reject this possibility as nonsense; however, some continue to fear what the Führer may be up to. The situation is nebulous, however, and little is certain."
"You are the Cpt. William "BJ" Blazkowicz, an allied spy, a daring intrepid and the best soldier to take up arms in World War II. However, your role has changed: You have retired from active duty and are now running operations as a systems analyst. You thought it would be the right choice (to lead and motivate instead of doing the dirty work), but lately you've been getting restless. At least until a few days ago, when you received an encrypted message from your old friend and comrade Cpt. Douglas Blake, calling you back to service ..."

There is much to discover for you, and we really hope you enjoy what has cost us a lot of sweat, nerves and time to live. Make it as fun to play as it was for us to create!"
Download, installation, use and screenshots
Download
As we have said above, "Wolfenstein - Blade of Agony" run over Gzdoom. Therefore, once GZDoom is installed and configured, as we explained in our previous mentioned related publication, we only have to download the file corresponding to Gzdoom from the Download Section.
Installation
Once downloaded and unzipped, we only have to according to official indications, copy the file «boa.ipk3 » to our GZDoom folder, launch the GZDoom engine and choose "Wolfenstein - Blade of Agony" like our favorite game (IWAD).
For our actual case study, about our Respin (Live and Installable Snapshot) custom named Miracles GNU / Linux which is based on MX Linux, we have done the following:
We copy all the content of the folder created from the extraction of the downloaded compressed file, without overwriting any files, that is, excluding the existing ones, in the path «/opt/gzdoom»
and we configure the same within the existing configuration file in the path «/home/$USER/.config/gzdoom/gzdoom.ini»
, including the following routes: «Path=/opt/gzdoom»
, «Path=/opt/gzdoom/soundfonts»
y «Path=/opt/gzdoom/fm_banks»
.
Use
Then we just run the Gzdoom, and it has started without any problem, directly, since it did not have any other games configured.
Screen shots
And I was able to start the game, as seen below:
For the rest, you just have to follow the story of the game and enjoy it!
